9 Ways to Quiet Quit and Reclaim Your Energy

While Quiet Quitting sounds a lot like apathy, and shows us that we’re all really fed up with the status quo of the workplace - it can be a productive force, too. The key to beneficial Quiet Quitting - versus just becoming a zombie (which, is that really what you want?) - is to redirect the energy you’ve been giving your job towards yourself.

Fill your cup, not the workplace watercooler.

Here are nine ways to avoid dying inside. Instead, redirect your energy from the toxic systems we’re working in, to the beautiful and intelligence lifeforce that is you and your power.

From → To

  • Burning the midnight oil → Clocking your 8 hours of zzzs

  • Saying Yes to someone else → Saying Yes to yourself (which is a No to them)

  • Immediately emailing back → emailing back after you’ve had a moment to reflect and consider whether this is really a necessary use of your energy

  • Life in service of work → Work in service of life

  • Lunch al desko → lunch al fresco!

  • Caffeine to fire you up → Meditation to cool you down

  • Putting your worth in a title or salary → Putting your worth in who you uniquely are

  • “Putting out fires” → letting the fires burn (unless you’re a literal firefighter, no one will die)

  • Bad/no boundaries → healthy boundaries
