Space is Closer Than You Think: A Conversation with Camille Bergin and Priya Abiram

When most people hear the word "space," they picture astronauts, rockets, and equations on a whiteboard. Something distant, but Camille Bergin has spent her career proving that picture wrong.

As the Chief Marketing Officer of Star Catcher, the world's first power grid in space, and the founder of The Galactic Gal, one of the world's largest independent space media platforms with nearly one million followers, Camille has made it her mission to help people understand that space is not separate from everyday life. It is woven into it. And the careers building the future of space exploration are far more varied, far more accessible, and far more human than most people realize.

In this AdaMarie LinkedIn Live, Camille sits down with aerospace engineer and 2026 AdaMarie Fellow Priya Abiram for a conversation that reframes everything you thought you knew about working in space. They talk about the misconceptions that keep people from seeing themselves in aerospace careers. About the roles that exist that nobody is talking about. About what a nontraditional pathway into space actually looks like and why the skills that matter most are not always the ones you would expect.

They also talk about what space exploration has to do with the food you eat, the medicine you take, the technology you use every single day. Because the distance between space and Earth is shorter than most people think, and so is the distance between where you are right now and a career that reaches toward it.

This conversation is for anyone who has ever looked up and wondered if there was a place for them in what comes next.

There is. And this replay will show you where to find it. The full conversation is available inside the AdaMarie Professional Network.
